Before you start

A YourPics account and a ChatGPT account. Custom MCP servers may be limited depending on your ChatGPT plan, and an administrator can turn them off in a team workspace. Its terms change without us: ChatGPT's help is the reference.

Copy the connector address.

It is also in your account, on the Integrations page.

In ChatGPT, open "Plugins" in the sidebar.

Another path: Settings, "Plugins", then "Browse directory".

Click "Add", then "Add custom MCP server".

Fill in the window, then "Create as a plugin".

Optional: drop the icon in "Icon" so ChatGPT shows the YourPics logo; without it, it picks one at random. Leave "Advanced OAuth settings" as is, tick "I understand and want to continue", then "Create as a plugin".

  • Icon: the YourPics icon, below (optional)
  • Name: YourPics
  • Description: leave empty
  • Server URL: the one from step 1
  • Authentication: OAuth, already selected
  • Download the YourPics icon (PNG)

Click "Continue to YourPics", sign in to YourPics, then allow access.

ChatGPT first shows "Connect YourPics". "Continue to YourPics" opens the YourPics sign-in page, then the authorisation page: check the account shown and the rights requested, then "Authorise". You come back to ChatGPT.

The plugin shows "By" followed by your account name. This is normal for a personal plugin: you created it. It is filed under "Installed" and "Personal".

Use YourPics in a conversation.

In the message field, type "@YourPics", choose YourPics in the suggestion, then write your request, for example "List my YourPics events."

Next

For example, in a conversation where YourPics is enabled:

  • "Create the event Claire's wedding on 12 June."
  • "How many guests found their photos?"

Remove access

In your YourPics account, Integrations page, "Remove access" on ChatGPT: access is cut right away. To make the plugin disappear from ChatGPT, open its card, "More actions", then "Delete plugin". "Uninstall" takes it off the list but keeps the plugin.
